What to wear ................

Indonesia is tropical with high humidity weather, then if you have planned to the island exept on July, August may you have to use cotton made fashion. In July to August the weather is more cold, about 16 celcius degree and it may taste pleasant for you which come from 4 season country. And common season and weather is hot, about 27 to 32 celcius degree. And when packing be aware that standard dress are conservative thrughout Asia, especially in Lombok as many of the people are Moslem. Loose, lightweight, long clothig is both respectful and cool in predominantly hot Asian climate. Shorts should be knee length. Siglets and tank tops are suitable. Topless sun bathing is not acceptable. Laundry facilities are offered by most hotels for charge. There will be times when you may want to or have to do your own so we suggest you bring non polluting/biodegradable soap.

What to take ..........

You will be on the move a lot, so please pack as lightly possible. Your baggage should be clearly labeled and restricted to one soft compact suitcase or sports bag maximum 15 kg plus a daypack. Luggage limits on the airlines are strictly neforced and space on vehicle is limited. Porters are not often available, so be prepared to carry your own bags.

TRIP PREPARATION .......

All countries require a valid passport with minimum 6 months validity. Contact your local embassy or consulate for the most up to date visa requirements. And it is your personal responsibility to have the correct travel documentation.

And since 2004 all Irish passport holders must obtain a visa before arrival. Arrival will be required to new visa prior to immigration processing, with a charge of USD 10.000 for visa up to 3 days or USD 25.000 for visa up to maximum 30 days including day of arrival and departure including children. According to information received at the time the visa will be issued to arriving passangers. Payment on the visa must be in cash in USD and in the exact amount. A currency change desk will also be set up prior to the visa desk for travellers to purchase USD, however to avoid delays it is recomended travellers obtain correct funds in USD prior to departure. You may wish to contact your Indonesian Embassy prior to travelling if you require a longer stay.
